Thursday June 18th - Day 1
From home to Sequoia National Park
Towing miles: 259
The Cruz family who are our “Camp”panions for this journey arrived at our house at 6:45am and after a quick prayer we were on our way.
Today is the shortest of all our towing days to the camps we are visiting. Because of this we had an easy journey and even had time to stop at the Denny’s in Castaic for breakfast since it was only 8:45. With all of our bellies full and our spirits high we finished the rest of our trip today arriving at the Lodgepole campground at about 4:00. We are in side-by-side sites # 21 & 22. Perfect location as the visitor’s center, park shuttle bus, and a wealth of amenities are just across the road from us.
Martha made a big spaghetti dinner for everyone and we later had an enjoyable night just relaxing in camp and making plans for our first day visiting the park.
Yay you made it safely! Spaghetti dinner YUM!
