Gold Beach Oregon - Day 8

Thursday June 25th – Day 8

We woke up late as you can imagine, and just spent the day enjoying the campground. But I am all smiles as the new Dell laptop is here and a joy to use after keeping the old one on life support for the last week. I can finally upload some more pictures and make use of the slow but dependable internet connection here in Gold Beach.

We spent a lazy day here in the campground and hung out in the lodge for a lot of the day. I had time to set up the new computer, the girls did gymnastics on the large wood floor then made up a show and sang songs for us. Afterwards the kids rode their bikes around the campground.

We later took a walk on the beach which is accessible right from our campground. The beach is rugged and covered in driftwood, agate, and lots of interesting rocks. Speaking of rocks the “Turtle Rock” that our campground is named after is right out front. I’ll take a picture and upload it when I get a chance.

We later enjoyed a nice sunset dinner by the river that runs behind our camper. We’re going to go into town tomorrow.
